For over 25 years, Crydet has specialised in manufacturing scintillation crystals and detectors. We are a family owned and operated company with customers in over 50 countries across all regions of the world. Our clients include a wide range of organizations, from academic institutions and small-to-medium-sized businesses all the way to some of the world’s largest companies.

Crydet Ltd was founded in 1994 by physicist Dr. Zoltán Csiki in Budapest, Hungary with the help of Klára Csiki. From the beginning, our company has specialised in manufacturing gamma scintillation crystals, complete detector assemblies and related products that are used for the detection of radioactive materials. During our now over 25 years of research and development, we have advanced our designs and manufacturing processes with the aim to provide high quality products with competitive prices and quick delivery. As a family run company, customer satisfaction is very important to us and we pride ourselves in offering our clients a high level of flexibility and customization.

As our customers have always been primarily international, we operate with a global mindset and are able to offer our services to clients anywhere in the world. Our products have shipped to and are in use on all continents of the world, with our customers including a wide variety of companies, institutions and government agencies within the fields of environmental monitoring, security, medical and healthcare services, well logging, aerial surveys, food safety and others. We also work closely with a number of international industrial partners to continually develop our products and processes.

Today, Crydet is owned by Dr. Zoltán Csiki and Klára Csiki’s children Zoltán Csiki Jr. and Krisztina Csiki who have been with the company since its founding. With the assistance of their administrative team consisting also of other family members, they are also responsible for Crydet’s day-to-day operations. Ottilia Csikiné Molnár and Valentin Vesselényi Molnár are jointly responsible for finalising products and quality control.

Our offices and factory are located in the Budapest metropolitan area, 20 kilometres from the Budapest International Airport and easily reachable from abroad via M3, M0 and M31.
